"Girl with a dragon tattoo" female nude painting

Painted this one last night on a prepared paper, it responds differently then the canvas and the oil dries quicker, forces me to do more deliberate brushstrokes that gonna stay permanently on the surface, less thinking is more action.

"Grace" 5x7 Seated female nude Original artwork for sale

The angle was the key here which placed the figure towards the right, it anticipates movement and shows the sensibility of the female form more, sometimes certain poses give more hints about emotions or thoughts then others, you can never intellectualize all of this in the beginning since most of the problematics are resolved during the creative process, you can only try to visualize the result.

"The Swimmer" (Standing Female back) Modern Art oil painting for sale

5 x 7 inches Oil on Canvas panel

This female figure seen from behind was inspired by the 2012 Olympics in London, yes I watched some of it too!
There's a certain texture throughout the painting that suggests water and somehow found its place organically in the painting, originally it was just the initial turpentine wash but I kept its abstract quality all the way to the end since it served its purpose.

Ok, this probably is one of the smallest paintings I've done so far, I think I shouldn't go any smaller then this because it probably won't exist at all:)

"Falling asleep" 12x16 Female nude Oil on canvas

12"x16" Oil on canvas
This is a piece that I did recently, it was done in two sessions with the model Ashley, she did a great job holding this pose, even though it may look easy to hold a reclining pose like this, after a couple of hours it can be tiring for the model, also a slight movement of her shoulders or back would pretty much change the whole anatomical structure.

Here's a shot of both the model and the painting taken around the end of the second session.
