"July" Impressionist Female figure landscape oil painting

6 x 8 inches Oil on primed panel

In this particular scene I used the figure as an integrated part of the landscape, shapes merging in and out, colors reflecting each other, the warm light of July enveloping all forms, shadows quickly shifting their shape as the sun moves on.

"2:36pm" 6x8 Urban landscape with a female figure Oil painting

6 x 8 inch Oil on canvas panel

.
I started this painting earlier but it needed more work since there was a lot going on in the background, there's some palette knife on the left that was needed to make an even bigger contrast distinction between the lights and the darks, direct sunlight creates dramatic play between these polarities, so around this particular time is the result that came to life in form of a painting.

"West Los Angeles afternoon" 4x6 inch Plein air landscape Oil on canvas

4" x 6" Oil on canvas

These urban scenes always catch my eye for the different color temperatures and the combination of organic shapes and man made structures, straight lines versus the natural curves.

"Bestseller" 5x7 inch Female figure plein air Oil painting a day

5" x 7" Oil on canvas on panel

How do you write the next bestseller? from so many great books written so far how do you come up with something fresh and original that has also the general mass appeal, the writer has to be in tune with the creative source so he can retell the universal truth in his own specific voice, will that be enough for a bestseller?

"The Urban Philosopher" 6x8 Daily Painting Old Man figure by Daniel Peci

6" x 8" Oil on canvas on panel

It's fascinating how direct sunlight reveals everything about us leaving very little hidden in the back alley of the subconscious, the source of life envelopes and animates multitude living forms at the same time and breathes as one single unit.

Urban philosophy - Fine arts Figurative artwork painting

SOLD
5" x 7" Oil on canvas panel
This painting is a reflection of today's living, how each of us deals differently with the modern reality and how we handle and experience it in a different way, some of us avoid formulaic ways of living and do it their own way.

Traffic cityscape oil painting

SOLD

My main goal in this painting was movement and light, I think the flow of traffic is a good subject for this particular idea since its constantly moving, the gas from the cars creates hazines around them and I always get the same question in my head when I observe this kind of a scene, ...where are we going?

"Stairway/Alleyscape #2" 5"x7" Oil on Canvas Panel

Painting Urban Landscapes is a specific experience, not like painting usual landscape since you can feel the air and aroma of the city, I was painting this one on location in L.A. alley trying to follow the constantly moving shadows from the houses and small buildings, their shape and lenght is changing according to the sun's movement making my job much harder, this scene is a close up of an alley that connects one of the streets in L.A.

Dreaming

SOLD
"Dreaming" 6" x 8" Oil on Canvas Panel

I wanted to make a sort of surreal mood in everyday setting, while the person in the painting is sleeping and the whole world around him is dissolving in his own dream.

Los Angeles Times

"Los Angeles Times" 6"x8" Oil on Canvas Panel

The impression for this piece came to me while observing all these reflective surfaces that are very present in today's world, mirrors and mirrorlike objects that surround us in our daily enviroment, people and objects reflecting color and light upon each other, forming a constant visual communication that's brought by the dynamics of today's living.

Los Angeles Alleyscape

"Los Angeles Alleyscape" 5" x 7" Oil on Canvas Panel,
Auction starts @ 8.15.pm

From my L.A. Cityscapes series, a sunlit Alleyway exploring the different structures of the houses and buildings with lots of light and dark at play using bold colors as the perspective of the composition takes you within the painting, in its own reality.I'll be listing probably another alleyway like this just a little bigger in size pretty soon.
